Its not that bad after all ....read this
31 Jan 2007, Delhi : A senior executive, who was on its way to settle in US, was robbed off his hangbag containing his and two son's passports, tickets, emigration papers, school certificates, college certificates, US$ 6000 + some travellers cheque right from the entry gate of IGI airport. He missed the flight and his dream got shattered. He sold off everything in India and was going to settle down in US. His story was published by Times Of India next day.
5 Feb 2007, Delhi : He recieved 17 envelopes without any stamp at his home. He had to pay 900 Rs to get the delivery and when he opened the envelopes, he found that the "thief" has a partial change of heart and retured some of his documents, minus the money. The envelope also contained an over a century old picture of Lord Venkateshwara which has always been with the family.

5 Feb 2007, Delhi : The state consumer commission has ordered recovery of 50K from the salary of former LIC chief for unjust repudiation of a consumer claim. LIC refused to pay claim on the ground that his policy has lapsed on the day when he met with an accident(and battled for life for amost one year after the accident).
Its so wierd but I like what state consumer commission said in the end, " We do not know what kind of officers are manning these institutions. To become overzealous and to suffer from the disease of self-aggrandisement and to deprive sadistic pleasure in the miseries of consumers, on whose money they are surviving and thriving is abominable."
